CURED-IN-PLACE PIPE LINER
Message from the General Manager:
Sewer Pipe Repairs Use Trenchless Technology
As part of our commitment to upgrading infrastructure to ensure safe and reliable water and wastewater services, the District is currently repairing old clay sewer pipes in the Roxborough Park and Ravenna neighborhoods. To minimize construction impacts, we are using a trenchless technology that avoids digging up and physically replacing these aging pipes.
Instead, we are injecting a new lining that improves the pipe’s performance and extends the life of the pipe. This Cured-in-Place-Pipe (CIPP) technology inserts a resin-saturated liner that is cured using UV light, creating an upgraded, seamless and durable pipe. The combination of trenchless technology and CIPP is less disruptive to surrounding neighbors and much less expensive than replacing the existing pipeline.
We will keep neighbors apprised of construction and will minimize construction impacts wherever possible. Construction areas and possible road closures/detours will be clearly marked to ensure the safety of residents and workers.
Please exercise caution and drive slowly in work zones. We appreciate your patience and encourage you to contact our office with any questions at info@roxwaterco.gov.
