Hydrant Flushing
Roxborough Water & Sanitation District crews will be performing routine fire hydrant flushing throughout the system.
Why we flush hydrants
Hydrant flushing is an important part of maintaining our water system. It helps remove sediment from water mains, improves water quality, and ensures hydrants operate properly for fire protection.
What to expect
During flushing you may notice:
• Temporary discolored water
• Lower water pressure for short periods
• Water flowing from hydrants into the street
This is normal and not harmful. If your water becomes cloudy or slightly discolored, run a cold tap for several minutes until it clears.
Questions?
Please contact the District office if discoloration continues or if you have concerns. 303.979.7286 or email: info@roxwaterco.gov
We will begin flushing Monday March 16th 2026 in Zone 4
